This night was a lot of fun.  We went to a fabulous steakhouse for dinner.  Turns out that this was the place where Ricky did his homestay in Takayama back in March.  I apologized profusely to the hostess for having to put up with Ricky for a week.

Hida beef is really good.  I ate a lot of it.  Not the 2 lbs that Shimoya wanted me to eat, but a lot nonetheless.  We had steak, onions, bell peppers, shitake mushrooms, eggplant, miso soup, tofu, and green tea ice cream.  Delicious!

After dinner was karaoke time.  They get a kick out of listening to me sing for some reason.  I think it's funny that because the song is an American song, they think I know the words.  I can't count the number of times that I've tried to explain that I don't really listen to the Carpenters or that I only know one John Denver song!
