| One aspect of the Fulbright Memorial Fund Master Teacher Program involves pairing teachers from schools in the United States and Japan to work on collaborative student education programs. John Eaton and Hachioji Nanakuni Elementary Schools are studying the Chesapeake and Tokyo Bays. These two east coast areas lie at approximately the same latitude and are in highly populated parts of their respective countries.
Students from 2nd, 4th and 6th grades will be involved in a variety of activities that utilize both the indoor and outdoor classrooms. CCBW will connect students through technology, ecosystem study, weather and climate, oceanography and the overall scientific method.
