We started and ended our adventure in the bright lights and excitement of Tokyo. When we arrived we spent our time fighting jet lag, experiencing cultural learning activities, visiting the Tama University facilities and Tama University Meguro High School. Our Japanese partners joined us to work on technology issues and to accompany us on the trip to our new homes for the month.

neighborhood, with many potted plants
on the curb and laundry hanging from
the balconies.

The Nozomi Shinkansen (bullet train) arrives to
take us to Hiroshima. We then took a
local train to Hatsukaichi.
