BUGS and SOIL Project
Allen Elementary School
Ann Arbor, Michigan
Week of September 14, 2004

We collected soil and bugs on a clear day in mid September.  The weather had been very dry all fall, so we were not able to find many bugs a (we thought they were burrowed in the soil and grasses on order to prevent dehydration).  Second and third grade students participated in the BUGS and SOIL collection.  All of the bug collecting was done at the Children's Wet Meadow, because we found so few bugs anywhere else.
